Hello all,
I’m Amber Thorne and I am here to share my days with you. I’m a planner, believer, mom, creative thinker, foster mom, and a lover of all things coffee! I’m starting this blog to share with you some of my creative processes, as well as lifestyle experiences.
First, I am a Happy Planner. I got my first planner in 2016. It started in July and went for 18 months. When I bought it in March I knew I couldn’t wait any longer to start, so I made copies of pages and re-dated them to March 2016-July 2016. At first, I had no idea how to create in a planner. It was just meant for plans right? NO, not at all! I’m so glad that I learned about the value pack stickers and all of the accessories that The Happy Planner came out with over the years because they are helping me plan a happy life! I’ve met my friends through this community and have overcome a lot of my depression and anxiety by sitting down weekly to create a fun spread while also helping me stay on top of what my crazy busy life entails.
I’m also a rainbow mom and a foster mom. I had a miscarriage in February of 2018, which is a big part of my story and who I am. But it didn’t end there, I am currently pregnant with my rainbow baby. I’m due in September of 2019 to a sweet girl who will be named Rose Elaina. My husband and I are so grateful for a second chance to have a child! We also started the foster care licensing process in November of 2018. Foster care is something I always knew I wanted to do, but my husband took some time to come around. When he finally did, we jumped on the wagon full speed and got licensed in a very quick 37 days! We got our first placement in January of 2019 and since then we have had 14 kiddos come in and out of our home. It has not been an easy process at all, but every child has been worth it! We currently have one foster love and are open for up to two more, hence the mini-van. I am so blessed to be considered a mom in many different capacities!
Speaking of my husband, here he is! Michael is a man who I love and adore more than any other human! He has been such a rock in what has been a crazy few years! We are high school sweet hearts and got engaged right after graduation in 2014. We then got married in 2015 and are coming up on 4 years of marriage on June 27th! Time sure is flying! He leads me to the Lord in every situation and is so tender when my emotions often over power at times. I am so blessed to have him in my life and I know I wouldn’t be able to do it without him!
Although my life can be crazy, it is also creative. I am here to share with you how I live my life daily and how I plan when life is so often unplannable. Thanks for following along and getting to know me a little more!
